What is the Midwest Canine Obstacle Run?

The Midwest Canine Obstacle Run is a 5k run through the trails at

The Woods Fitness Park in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  

Participants will compete in the 5k with their canine partners on leash as they tackle wooded trails,

creek beds, dirt and water, along with over 40 obstacles to test teams of all abilities.  

Run with the best to see how you stack up, or simply enjoy the day with your best friend

trying new things and bonding in a beautiful outdoor fitness park.  

All ages and abilities are encouraged, as this is more about your pups than anything else.  

There will be shirts and finisher medals, award medals, food and beer tent, music, vendors,

overnight camping and much more as you make lifetime memories with your furry friends.  

So sign up today as we bring a whole new kind of fun to the Midwest! 

We will kickoff with an early packet pickup from 4pm until 7pm.  

There will be music, beer tent and food trucks.  

Camping will be allowed onsite, the grounds will open up at 12pm. 

Packet pickup will begin at 7am.

Elite at 8am

Age Groups from 9am to 1 1am

 Open at 11am

Elite 8am

 This is for the fastest teams, who will compete for overall 1st/2nd/3rd place. 

These teams will run the whole course, complete all the obstacles and be in the hunt for this year's overall champion.  

These teams are also still eligible for age group awards, of course while still having a blast!

Overall Female - 1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals

Age Groups 9am and 10am

Under 21, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60 and Over 60

 This is the competitive heat, who will compete for age group 1st/2nd/3rd place awards.  

Most of these teams will run the entire course, complete all the obstacles and challenge themselves

to be on top of their age brackets, while of course also still having a blast! 

Open 11am

 Open runners can go at their own pace,

skip obstacles where needed or uncomfortable,

literally out to have fun and complete the course.
